Did I miss something on the news??

PRBuzz 11-09-2009 06:45 PM

Can you say "C"? That is not an honor easily obtained but earned through hard work 24/7 and Tek earned it.

BigFish 11-09-2009 07:19 PM

And they sign Wakefield to a 2 year deal??:smash:

striperman36 11-09-2009 07:38 PM

Tek was and still is one of the best strategic catchers in the MLB. he always did his homework, knew the opponents.
I don't think marteniz is that type player

Raider Ronnie 11-09-2009 07:46 PM

Tek can thank his agent for the situation he's in !

BigFish 11-09-2009 07:52 PM

What does that mean? Do you think he should have got more than what he did on his last contract? I don't know what he would have got from another team. Not trying to be a PIA here with this question but i think he did alright considering how his offensive production took a big slide down in the last few years. I heard he was coming back for his player option and would be the backup catcher. Doesn't sound like a bad way to end the career and collect a few million riding the bench and maybe catching once a week.

I don't understand that. He is 45 and has a bad back.

He's had a bad back for a few years but look at his record. The man eats innings and keeps them in games. $2.5M is relatively low gamble (Did I really just type that?)

He's baaaack...
