Tips on Catching Stripers Please!

Hey I have been in Alabama for the past couple months catching some good spanish/king mackerel, bull redfish, etc. But now that I'm back in VA its time to catch some Stripers! Some tips please

Considering I do not have a boat or do not have money to get a charter, where is the best place to fish? I was thinking about going down to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Pier- Sea Gull Pier. Thoughts?

I'm planning to use some BKDs (bass kandy delights) and grubtails on jigheads and viper spoons..planning to try jigging both the deep and shallow.

Any tips on what other baits to use and where to fish and anything else would be appreciated!

Also, is this a good time of year to catch rockfish? is the water too cold?

I think you might do better hunting out a rockfish site centered on the Chesapeake area. This site is primarily a NE/NY site and our season is finished. Good Luck.

and ask at the bait shops, that sometimes works for a spot or 2
