Revisited an Ole Favorite

It's not classic, heck it's not even that old(1981) but I saw "Taps" tonight and was just as struck and moved by it tonight as I was when I first saw it as a snotty nosed kid. That movie inspired me to join the Army Reserves as a Junior in high school at 17 years of age with parental consent. When most kids in my class were partying that summer I sweated my ass off in basic at Fort Jackson and then the next summer when everyone was celebrating their senior year summer before college I was in Georgia learning my trade. This movie played a big part in motivating me back then plus the fact my dad was a Nam Vet I wanted to do something honorable as a man. I don't want to get too deep here and bore people but man I miss my youth. I know I'm still young but I miss those days of feeling invinsible. Good movie.

Good movie - I was scrolling through the guide and almost stopped on this on my way to something else. Will need to revisit.
