Definitely! Was considering Squam Lake actually as a friend has a place at Waterville Valley I can stay at but would rather do a camping trip!:uhuh: Love to go freshwater for sure!

What about Mooselookmeguntic Lake in Maine? I've heard they have islands that you can camp on.. open fires allowed!

BigFish 04-07-2014 01:39 PM

That has been on my list as well!!!:uhuh:

I like the looks of the Stephen Phillips one....you can see photos of all the campsites and check out the one on Students Island

The Dad Fisherman 04-07-2014 02:56 PM

Now let's pick a weekend.....

BigFish 04-07-2014 03:40 PM

I like the Students Island as well! Looks good to me! Which site would you prefer Kevin? Anyone else in?? Matt??

Site 15 looks great?

Rockport24 04-07-2014 04:04 PM

I want to be in in life allows it! I'm thinking summer would be good, can we catch pike there or is it more of a coldwater/trout lake?

BigFish 04-07-2014 04:35 PM

That lake has it all....bass, pike.....trout I think as well! Summer....July or August work for me!

BigFish 04-07-2014 04:36 PM

Like to get Eddie to go? BlondTerror?

The Dad Fisherman 04-07-2014 08:26 PM

I'm betting the place has some serious smalley action...

I am hoping! What do you think Kev? 2 night stay...Friday to Sunday....I can do midweek as well??? Anytime works for me!

The Dad Fisherman 04-08-2014 05:12 AM

i'd be up for it, depending on date.....

BigFish 04-08-2014 06:30 AM

Kevin you are the busy guy.....I am good anytime! I will see if I can get Tagger and BlondTerrors attention! Maybe they will go! I know Ed wants to break in his new camping gear as do I!

Rockport24 04-08-2014 10:35 AM

I don't know guys, did some research and it seems like more of a salmon and trout fishery... I would be totally up for a good smallie lake though...
anybody know of good ones that have camping? Lake George in NY is an option?

The Dad Fisherman 04-08-2014 10:42 AM

Here are my "No Good" weekends:

April 25-27
May 16-18
May 23-25
June 13-15
June 20-22
July 4-6
July 11-13
July 18-20

August Looks Wide Open and so does September...

I gotta retire....

The Dad Fisherman 04-08-2014 10:43 AM

You start talking New York and you are talking about 3 nights versus 2....you'd spend more time driving than fishing...

BigFish 04-08-2014 11:48 AM

Kevin is right.....NY is a good 7 plus hour ride. Kevin any of your dates work for me...I do have plans for a Sox game with some friends in July so let me find out what weekend that is on so we can exclude that weekend!:uhuh:

Rockport24 04-08-2014 12:33 PM

yeah it is a drive - well lets find a good bass lake...

Just to clarify Larry...those are the dates I can't make it....

BigFish 04-08-2014 03:25 PM

Oooops sorry Kev! I am good as I said any weekend except the one I have the game on and I will find out what weekend that is. We could nail down a weekend and see if that #15 campsite is available?

The Dad Fisherman 04-08-2014 07:31 PM

#3 and #5 look good as well......grass is always better to pitch a tent on if you are on the ground

3 gets my vote....5 is too rocky on the beach! Sandy is good! Kev sounds like you and I are in...maybe Matt? Ed is actually coming by tomorrow so I will talk to him about it! Maybe Chris Groves would like to come...he is away right now.
