Outer cape - and a newbie

Heading out this weekend, with limited experience in the area. I was wondering if anyone could steer me in the correct direction? I've tried off of Herring cove before with limited success is there other areas I could access and have some chance at success ( catching anything would be considered a success). Thanks:)

Stop in at Goose Hummock in Orleans and ask their local kayak fishing expert. he is a great guy and will give you info on the best "current' place I believe his name is Jim. barnstable harbor and Pleasant bay are often good pp;aces and out of Rock harbor for the flats fishing

thanks for the info... actually made the run out and got some good advice from the people at Nelson's. Sorry to say I was skunked in the bass dept. Did hook into some bluefish which made one 11 year old very happy.
