Lawn mess

Had to dig up 100' x 5 section of lawn to install a new water supply line to the house. Is. It too late in the season to try and get some grass started at this point. It's a big mess right next to the driveway. What a pain in the arse

I recommend the following place, see link below, fresh cut sod. There is a fort lift there to load the pallets onto a truck. The truck needs to be 1/2 ton or a box truck with a large opening such as a Uhaul. The minimum for delivery is 1000 sqft at $. 39/sqft which includes delivery and for orders less then 1000 sqft you need to pickup and the cost is $. 27 sqft

How do I know all this? I just called.

SE MA I don't know of any but there could be some who knows

I agree, now is the time for seeding lawns.
The grass will get ample sunlight, sufficient watering from rain and you, and most lawn problem insects are either gone (grubs=bettles) or going dormant for next year.

If you seed, keep in mind that you may have to contend with migratory birds if you broadcast seed instead of hydroseed, using a "spray-on" seed, or just use sod.

Most people think that the fall means NOTHING grows, when in fact some things actually grow better!

Have it sprayed on by Whittemore in East Bridgewater. Rye grass will pop up in seven days. Before they show up throw some fescue and kentucky bluegrass down, and that coupled with the spray on stuff will give you a great lawn

Go with artificial tuff like Gillette Stadium. You will be done, no watering, no fertilizer, no mowing....just all fishing sparky!

Do it Friday for something special

I seeded a large 30 x 25 area a week ago Sunday. Covered with peat moss and spread hay over the new seed.

Set the sprinkler to go 30 minutes, 3x per day. Cutting back to 20 mins 2x per day after the rain stops.

The new grass is already 3". Used cheap seed too.

OK, so now you got me thinking...

Is it just as good of a time to lay sod now too?
