The Everly Brothers were anything but one-hit wonders.

This is THE classic one-hit wonder :rotf2:

Mike P 08-08-2009 05:10 PM

Here's another classic

Mike P 08-08-2009 05:11 PM

Anyone remember this one? :rotf2:

Mike P 08-08-2009 05:14 PM

Speaking of marmalade ;)

Mike P 08-08-2009 05:19 PM

I'd forgotten all about this gem :rotf2:

Exhibit #1 as to why the 60s are vastly overrated :rollem:

Mike P 08-08-2009 05:24 PM

Ever wonder how the expression "bubblegum music" was born? Now you know.

If Keith Moon played piano he'd probably play like Jerry Lee Lewis ..

The song title is better known than the band--The Shocking Blue

Mike P 08-13-2009 07:30 PM

I had a girlfriend once who said that anyone who she married would have to sing this at her wedding.

As far as I know, she's still single :biglaugh:

Mike P 08-13-2009 07:34 PM

They weren't a one hit wonder, but if they released this ditty before Mrs Brown and Silhouettes, they may well have been :yak5:

Mike P 08-13-2009 07:37 PM

Written by Sir Paul and recorded by his then-fiancee's brother, Peter Asher.

Mike P 08-13-2009 07:40 PM

Voted by Dave Barry as the worst rock and roll song ever--and Donna Summer's version was even worse :rotf2:

I don't necessarily agree with Barry ;)

Mike P 08-13-2009 08:02 PM

This is why I don't agree with Barry--the lyrics are insipid, but there are at least 20 jazz arrangements of the melody--some better than this, some worse.
