No borders, No nations, Stop deportations

No borders, No nations, Stop deportations.

Abolish ICE.

The mask slips a little more. The people that want to strip the territorial integrity of this country, to pick the winners and losers, to burden then banish free speech and then freedom and liberty itself.

Democratic Socialists

These same people want to take much of everything else from others and redistribute that loot to anyone they can, even to go so far as bringing people in to distribute them to.

Democratic Socialists

Controls of the means of Production.Yep, the sane and moderate left, the future of this country. Millennials in particular, are flocking to this belief.

DSA Constitution & Bylaws

As amended by the 2017 National Convention
CONSTITUTION
Article I. Name

The name of this organization shall be the Democratic Socialists of America, a not-for-profit corporation.
Article II. Purpose

We are socialists because we reject an economic order based on private profit, alienated labor, gross inequalities of wealth and power, discrimination based on race, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, disability status, age, religion, and national origin, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo. We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane social order based on popular control of resources and production, economic planning, equitable distribution, feminism, racial equality and non-oppressive relationships. We are socialists because we are developing a concrete strategy for achieving that vision, for building a majority movement that will make democratic socialism a reality in America. We believe that such a strategy must acknowledge the class structure of American society and that this class structure means that there is a basic conflict of interest between those sectors with enormous economic power and the vast majority of the population.
Article III. Members
Section 1.

"the future of this country"

Very unlikely. The future of the democratic party perhaps, not the future of the country.

'Millennials in particular, are flocking to this belief.'

Some are, and they might be shrieking the loudest, but still not all of them.

This pathologically lying socialist in NYC who just won a congressional primary, was once a business owner who had a publishing start up, and back then (which wasn't all that long ago), she wrote about the burdens of taxation on those trying to start up a new business. But now she, the socialist, is asking the public to give her a job paying 175k a year with all kinds of lucrative benefits. So like many liberals (Bernie Sanders in particular comes to mind), it's OK if SHE gets wealthy, but it's wrong if I try to acquire some wealth. They're like people who, once they get into the castle, then, and only then, do they raise the drawbridge. Only after they are secure.

It's unbelievable the way this party is imploding. AT the national level at least.

Jim, you're shrieking again. You usually shriek when you feel threatened :lasso:

At the national level the dem's are running 10 points up on the generic House ballot and prominent conservatives are fleeing the GOP.

Are these the same pollsters who all said trump was going to get creamed?

I think the dems
Will take the house by a nose. I think the gop will almost certainly keep the senate, more likely to gain seats than to lose the senate- too many dems up for re-election in states that trump won.

Just because I’m pointing out a free fall, doesn’t mean I feel threatened. The numbers of who holds how
Many federal and state sets, appear to back me up - true or false?

Because trump is a scumbag. Bill Clinton was also a scumbag, and no prominent democrats left the party. What does that tell you about which side has meaningful principles? I don’t agree with the never trumpers but they have the courage of their convictions. And many people who are still in the party, like me, heap criticism on trump. Did the left do that with bill Clinton? If so I missed it.

I do take comfort in that. I’d take more comfort, if both sides would take a small step towards each other.

Please someone tell me (with a straight face) why this is a good idea? Or fair?

Government bodies have hearings all the time, sometimes just to give some people a forum to speak out. Sort of like this one but you can see their faces. If you are a citizen of Boston and have strong feelings about this, you should attend.
Now I can say that I don't think you should get the right to vote without becoming a citizen. And my ancestors would agree, I remember those discussions.

Here is a link to the City Council meeting, I would assume that if you are a resident of Boston you could testify. Hmmm, wonder how they will deal with that? How do they determine who is allowed to testify?

Non-U.S. citizens living in the country legally may one day be allowed to vote in Boston elections. guess we missed the legally living and the Boston part and maybe 1 day ... Brick by brick thats how the right builds its conspiracy theories

While it's not illegal under federal law, there are only a handful of communities in the entire country that allow non-citizens to participate in local government ballots. I could maybe see it for a school board where the non-citizen is paying taxes and has a child who's education they want to participate in. Not sure of the value for much beyond that...it's one of the privileges of citizenship.

Nobody missed it, you just like to throw on your Tin Foil hat and start flinging accusations like your Oprah Friggin Winfrey giving away toasters.

One of the great things about this country is the right to vote, so why don't those living here legally become naturalized citizens, then they can vote. Why take away the motivation to want to become a citizen of this country. You know, one of the Perks of being a citizen

Trump could give the data to his deportation force and expel them with little effort...sure the US economy would implode but we'd be great again!
