Need to hit the gorilla glue mess with a scraper, but the plastic mesh storage box I picked up at Home Depot worked out nice with all the available slots for zip ties. I have horizontal 1" pvc below the boxes so I can store some water bottles or other odds and ends under. Hope to splash it this afternoon in a local pond to get in a test paddle.

Don't forget the pfd and be careful the water is cold.

WATCH YOUR BACK !!! I have found twisting and reaching for the crate or a rod in the holder . can tweak your back easily.. At least that was the case for me .. now I'll dangle my legs in the water sit side ways and get stuff ...
What a nice ride if you want to do some 3am trips down the street let me know unless your staying fresh water

That's really good advice. It's what I do as well.

What's the brand name on the kayak and why did you choose that one? Just thinking about getting one, thanks.

It's a Hobie pro angler 14, with the mirage peddle drive and I bought for a few reasons. Being able to move with leg power while casting or slow trolling was very attractive, then it was comfort and wide stable platform you can even stand in. The down side is they are very expensive when compared to most other brands.
