Christmas tree pluggage?

Anyone thought of or trimmed their tree with plugs before? maybe TFF has a holiday paint job in mind? I would be interested as I don't see getting the lathe going until well after the holidays..... Want to help trim first tree in new house? Or maybe a good holiday raffle idea for the site.

Edit; please note the original date of this thread. Any new thoughts? My daughter asked me today if I would make her a Christmas tree plug, for the tree at her mother's house.....

With a nice siwash tail hook you wouldn't even need those stupid little plastic or wire hooks to hang the ornaments with :D

I married a Jewish girl. No Christmas for me :smash: :laughs:

My wife suggested that I do a few small plug bodies for the tree...
Much to my surprise...

Did it two years ago. I made 33-7/8 oz pencil poppers in different colors. My wife humors me and encouraged me. My son wants to do it again this year. It was neat to have fishing friends stop by and to pull a present for them off of the tree. Many of them went fishing after and they were proved very effective. I watched one of my friends catch a 41", 25# fish on one.

I always have a few lures on the tree. If I get any for Christmas, they go on the tree till we take it down. Makes the tree look pretty cool.

Yea, we were at Homegoods today looking for Chanukkah candles and it was like freaking Santa Claus everywhere. They had this one little display all silver and blue for the chosen people. We would have never found it had my wife not sought help from a clerk.

It's pretty sad that you've got to ask, just because you're Jewish :hihi:

Jess and I did it in 2005...she's half Jewish, but that didn't stop her from loving the pluggage tree.
Sorry no pix :(.
It was about a $2000 tree...I gave a bunch of the plugs to Naked #^&#^&#^&#^&y for Xmas last year and he lost them to the blooz.
UUGGH!
