I have read quite a few....looking for some more good reading..
here are a few of recent ones I have read.
Hardcore Troubadour : The Life and Near Death of Steve Earle by Lauren St John
Heavier Than Hell : A Biography of Kurt Cobain by Charles Cross
To Live is to Fly : The Ballad of the Late, Great Townes Van Zandt by John Kruth
and I just ordered from Amazon - A Deeper Blue : The Life and Music of Townes Van Zandt by Robert Earl Hardy
Anybody have any suggestions?

the very best semi-biography I have ever read is call - Crosstown Traffic, Jimi hendrix and the RR revolution.
Way more that a biograpphy, more of a history of music that influenced hendrix/ great read!

If you want a biography of a band that will make you wonder how they're still alive today, check out Motley Crue "The Dirt". I was never much of a fan, but my brother in law suggested the book and I loved it. It's told by all 4 members of the band so you get different perspectives of the same thing. They did some really crazy stuff back in the day.

I did hear this was good...forgot about it, thanks fishbones...I think Nikki Sixx has one too...not a fan really either (did like Shout at the Devil a bit back in the day)...I'll bet this is an interesting read:cheers:

"Shakey" - Neil Young bio - is a good read.

just got done reading clapton, the autobiography. the first half tells about the different bands he was with up to cream. the second half starts with his different addictions and ends in the present day. the thing that boggles the mind, if you think of how many different collections he had, just how much money did he make???
