Paypal

Has anyone here used Paypal? I tried getting some stuff from Hottackle using my credit card and the final screen asked for info that I never had to give before - last 4 of Soc sec, DOB etc. - .. I'll try it with Paypal if it's relatively painless.

I love paypal, The best way to pay for stuff on the internet.....And never give your social security number out online

Ditto what Dad says. It's great. No problems so far.

You shouldn't ever have to give your SS or DOB to use a CC online.

Paypal is perfectly safe, just be sure to always make sure you are on a secure connection (the padlock icon is closed) to paypal.com and don't ever enter your paypal account information into an email or link from an email.

If paypal ever needs info, they will direct you to the paypal site where you log in securely...then make a change.

There are a lot of internet scams to steal your identity, but with a little attention you won't ever get burnt.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

yeah what spence said...

careful about "spoof emails"

paypal will aways have a https: secure connection
spoofers look like this http: unsecure connection

also...if you get an email saying we need to update your info - records ect...

just delete it.. dont click anything.

after that open a new window, type out www.paypal and go to your account.
9times outta 10 it was just a spoof email. and your account will be fine.
