Pencil Popper Sanding Jig
I'm burning through more pencil popper bodies than I'd like to trying to sand the curve in the angled nose. I am using the 2"drum on my belt sander so I'm holding it horizontally by hand. There has to be a more accurate way to do this, so I'm wondering if you guys have any ideas(?)
Thanks in advance. Eric. |
Get a drum sanding head for your drill press. Angle the table to match the desired angle and have at it.

ya, you are better off looking down on it from the vertical position
some sort of jig would help placing it the same each time |
I bought an oscillating spindle sander years ago.....built a jig and just as Slipknot suggested.....easier looking down on it from the vertical for sure!

Late to the show here but making a angled V-block worked for me.

Welcome, BigDeuce.
Please post some pictures of what you're building and by all means ask questions if the search function leaves things unanswered. |
