New Years Eve Feast

Too many Rookies out drunk driving on New Years Eve so I generally go out for Chinese early (home by 8 PM) . Well this year the people I have been going with the last few years can't make it so I am doing a Seafood Feast for myself. I got some very small littlenecks (I asked for "Littlenecks , the smallest ones") which I will bake till they pop open (like on the grill) , some Jonah crab claws which I will eat cold with cocktail sauce ,some shrimp and some scallops wrapped in bacon. Will be washing it all down with some Bloody Mary's ( pepper vodka, horseradish , Worcestershire sauce and celery stalk) and a Wrights Dairy Farm Egg Nog for desert! :) Will be in bed by 10 PM and unlikely to see the ball drop.

My new years feast tonight was a whole avocado and Greek yogurt. Delish, but.... Not too festive. Ready for bed

Took a ride to the Venus with a neighbor and got a couple baked stuffed lobsters and some clams casino. New Years eve is different this year, waiting for teenagers to come home safe and,as usual, the stooges marathon.

Breakin' out the smoker and doing a turkey breast. No fuss and no mess.

Always sunny in Philadelphia marathon for me and Chinese food out to eat early. Friggin place was so crowded for take out, not many eating there. Daughter had a sleep over and I was out by 11. God knows how late they stayed up they are still in bed.

Started with a variety of cheeses and some wine, then shrimp cocktail, followed by bay scallops wrapped in bacon. Fresh caught baked pollock with tiny tomatos garlic calamata olives and capers. Asparagus and wild rice. Took until 11:00 to chip away at this meal, then crashed to bed..
Mimosas this AM because we didn't want the champaigne to spoil....:)
