Here some weirdness I heard on the radio on the way home.

One, the Sox have only retired 4 numbers in their history. In chronological order they were:

9-Williams
4-Doerr
1-Pesky
8-Yaz

The Sox last won a World Series on September 4, 1918. That's 9/4/18

Two---during the bottom of the 10th in Game 6 in 1986, with the Mets down two and down to their last out, the press box was notified that the Series MVP was Bruce Hurst. Scramble the letters in Bruce Hurst and you come up with---are you ready---B Ruth Curse.
