Notaro 10-21-2003 11:28 AM

I have some rigs at home, but no gear for cod. I don't own a boat. Does anyone have a space?

Van 10-21-2003 11:53 AM

Thanks, but not me, like Kav I'm still in my slip in quincy as long as possible. Getting to Plymouth would be a pain.

I'm planning some codding in my area soon also.

Hope you can find a good spot, the dogfish are unbelievable out there right now...:af: :af: :af:

Good Luck..

fishsmith 10-21-2003 01:20 PM

mrmacey, I'd recommend the brant rock ramp, it's a better ramp and closer to cod.

mrmacey 10-21-2003 01:26 PM

dont know where brant rock

ramp is
:smash:

Green Harbor in Marshfield, from route 3 get off at the Duxbury/Pembroke exit (Rt 14) follow that east, bear left after the Duxbury Police station, straight across rt 3A (next to millbrook motors) then it's a few miles up on your right.
Great ramp with a dock to tie up to, instead of the mickey mouse operation the plymouth ramp provides.
The best part is once your boat is launched, you can be jigging for cod in about 10minutes, where Plymouth is a long hall to get out of that harbor. Good Luck, I just had some freshly frozen cod for dinner, it's the best eating fish in the sea.

Me and My Dad and my Uncle Pete are going thats all i know. I think high tide in plymouth is around 11:00 i dont think we need to go out that far, i'm going to talk to some people and see if i can get some reports around plymouth:D but 5am sounds good 2 me. we will help each other launch boats as there is no dock but there is a little floting dock that me and my dad use when we go out there.

missing link 10-21-2003 02:44 PM

btw in plymouth dead low is at 5:38 an I dont think i wana put my boat in at dead low tide.

Goose 10-21-2003 03:22 PM

I would love to but its deer season dude, man can not live on fish alone.:D

macojoe 10-21-2003 03:33 PM

Plymouth is a all tide ramp ML, no problem launching.

5 am is good for me!!

I also hear the fishing for Cod is better in Marshfield ?? But I am blind there to?/

Stripinline and friend on my boat with me and my son. Full boat.

missing link 10-21-2003 03:41 PM

got 4x4?:laughs: neva put the boat in there at low tide but it's worth a try.

macojoe 10-21-2003 03:42 PM

Your truck is not a 4X4??

macojoe 10-21-2003 03:44 PM

Getting in is no problem just roll back and whenthe boat slides off hit the gas to go back up!! The thing is to pull the boat up the ramp at low tide, Ten you might need 4X4
I have one if needed

missing link 10-21-2003 03:44 PM

macojoe 10-21-2003 04:12 PM

I am hoping for my new gloves!!

mrmacey 10-21-2003 04:15 PM

20 miles

It is not believed that there was any human habitation of the Stellwagen Bank area before it sank beneath the waves as sea level rose. However, the area had at one time supported vegetation and terrestrial animals, including mastodon and mammoth. Bones and teeth from these beasts have been recovered by fishing gear from the area. I even heard there are a couple huts down there!! never know what your gonna catch!

macojoe 10-21-2003 04:19 PM

I like to say I have a 100 mile run with my boat, But I have really120 so I should be fine. I wish I had a 60 gal tank!! I might add another tank were the I/O use to be? But I like to leave my bait tank in there??
I am so confussed

missing link 10-21-2003 04:21 PM
