Mr. Habs
I ho'd one of your plugs from a pretty large bass last night. I had been throwin plugs from 630am and it was about 8pm. We switched to eels cuz my shoulder had, had it. 4th cast wham, landing fish notice the plug I had been throwing earlier, but mine wasnt that beat yet;) Take a quick second look and its the same plug but someone had foul hooked that big girl, 2 trebles were holding the hook in place. Removed the plug:D and the girly didnt need much revivin' after that she shot off like a bat outta hell, glad to have the plug out her back. It been on her for a while from the scratches on the plug, the hooks were done, but those EYEs! were perfect and none of the scratches were into the wood! Fuggin cheet thats some tough paint on those! Oh and mine casts like a bastard! Thanks! :)

South county.
I guesstimated her at 38-39 inches prolly 25-27 lbs or so. I had to let her go ;) I picked up a 44.5 inch 30 lber on the cast previous to that one. Dropped her off at my parents house tonight and that went quick aunts and uncles and such waiting for some fresh fish, none went to waste tho which is always a good thing. The glass blower picked up a nice fish too but mine was bigger:D :laughs: |
I lost that plug about six months ago. Please send it to me (just kidding). Great Story. I used a Habs 1.5 ounce needlefish for the first time about two years ago and am in a constant search for more.

Yeah, I saw it all go down. Its hard to find Hab's plugs in stores let alone on the back of a bass!!!

Habs,
I was at The Salt Water Edge in Newport last weekend looking for one of your needles. Of course they were sold out. The clerk told me when they get your stuff it lasts about 10 seconds. Anyways I brought a couple of Gibbs paying good money plus the Newport mark-up. They had some serious QC issues. Paint drops on each plug under the front. The body on one of the plugs looked like it had been sanded with a cheese grater. Keep up the great craftmanship. Most of the other guys have sold out. |
buy tattos plugs there easier to get for now . but soon they will be likes habs needles . especially them sea spooks . Im going to find that shop one of these days . just like Norm Abrams you can hide but not forever .
10000 they will last about 3 days before they are all sold out . good products are hard to keep on the shelf . they be flying out the door . When I find a shop that has 2 oz needles I buy all I can with the amount of cash on hand . Im going to hord sea spooks and needles all winter so I wont be short next season . |
