I need a new one, antique Craftsman finally puked.
Thought you guys would know the best, you create a lot of shop dust. What should I look to buy, or should I just get another Craftsman?
Thanks!

Karl,if you are using it to suck up just wood shavings chips, get a small dust collector. if you are using it as a vacuum, to do truck floors ect. can't go wrong with crafhtsman.if there is a Costco near the cape check what they have for shop vacs

I think I'll get another crafptsman.. Like the wife said, "You got 25 years out of the first one, why woudn't you get another!"

$99 CS? that's about twice what I paid for the first one, over 25 years... that ain't a bad price then, $ went further back then too!

I use a ShopVac brand for work, it goes on everytime I use my orbital sander which is quite often. Cost a couple hundred but it also has this cool attachment that will pump water out of it after ya finish s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g up flodded basement water and that saves alot of back breaking work carrying it up stairs. It doesn't have as big a hose as those monster craftsman, but I am happy with it.
Some of those craftsman models have a way of detaching and becoming leaf blowers:cool:

I've got a Craftsman i've had for about 17 years now, the only thing I don't like about it is the noise, bought one of their"mufflers"for it but to me it doesn't make a difference.other than that I don't have any complaints and would buy another.Does anyone know how loud those small dust collectors are?Was thinking about gettin one of 'em,if their not too loud.johnny "the Ratt Boy"
