Where would you fish this weekend?

If you had the weekend open for a fishing roadtrip, where would you target to get into bass????

I just gotta give it anuther shot.....

South County, RI might be a longshot, who knows.

Long Island Sound (CT waters)

South Shore of Long Island (NY)

NJ

DE

MD/VA

You're not too far from Gloucester, why not go cod fishing?

RIJIMMY 11-21-2003 01:28 PM

rwilhelm 11-21-2003 01:35 PM

MONTUAK

I am also hitting a south county breachway early tomorrow morning maybe I see ya there Jimmy. I need to get a few more bass before I call it quits.

STEVE IN MASS 11-21-2003 01:51 PM

I hope to hit South County for one last shot (day trip) early next week....though, as was said, I'm not very optimistic, either.

But if I had the time and the dough, I'd be headed back to Jersey, anytime to at least Xmas.......that's if WeeWee would let me thru his roadblock........:smash: :smash:

RW - Gray 4 runner, Mass plates. I'll be out from 4:30am until 8. I have some errands after that. I 'll be targeting the ponds and beach with light tackle. say hello if you see me.

this weekend

Why not just go down to the park by the lighthouse for some cod or try out the willows for some cod or flouders. Why travel when you've got such good fishing down the block?

If your satisfied with Twinkies?

Well if you just want a fishing fix and would be satisfied with schoolies and some hickory shad mixed in I would just venture down to one of the breachways or rivers with your light tackle setup.
I havent done this for a couple of years but can remember days where it was fish on every cast! 6lb test and 1/8 -1/4 oz jigheads and 3" white grubs.

Got Stripers 11-21-2003 07:50 PM

I'm headed to CT on Sunday, hopefully the winter fishery is getting tighter and more predictable. Hopefully some nicer fish have moved in this past week, last weekend it was mostly small schoolies, but on a 6-1/2 foot freshwater bass stick it's all fun catching.

Fishpart 11-21-2003 09:44 PM
