Any clubs or boaters/fisherman in the Portsmouth, NH area?

I am a new boater and soon to be fisherman and need some hints and tips.

Mainly help in stopping the dinging of my props and why did no-one tell me that fish bait on the bottom will only catch crabs?

You're talking NEWBIE here man. Last fishing was in 1960s for catfish in a local pond with drop lines and pieces of grass on the line to tell when there was a nibble.
