What is the apporiate length of rod? Lures weight, hook sizes, amount of equipments?

That totally depends on what you are going after. For instance if you are going after panfish 2# test line and 1/64th oz jigs tipped with maggots are normal. If you are going after say largemouth bass... well then I just use tip ups baited with shiners. I put about a foot or two of mono leader to the end of the nylon braid and then tie any hook you'd normal use on the end. Sometimes it helps to put a split shot on to keep the bait a the proper depth.
