lets see em. im got to make some more. i got an extra long one that in planning. 6ft longX8inches high. gunna use it for display/grab and go operation cause where i hang all my plugs in the celler isnt good. i hang them on the wire to the doorbell and phone and i got too many so there pulling them down and the bells isnt working right.:D i wanna sleep in the same room as them too. i think if i had 3 of those extra long ones itll hold most of my plugs as long as my bag is filled.:)

my pikie top, fixter bottom. they aint goin to water, the only 2 thatll stay that way.

tlapinski 12-08-2003 06:50 PM

christian, are you just looking for ideas on displaying or specifically shadow boxes? i have a few different displays for different lure types if you want to see those i can get a pic tomorrow.

Christian 12-08-2003 07:02 PM

ya :) displaying, shadow boxes, whatever.

Swede 12-08-2003 11:23 PM

Nice Shadow Box Christian!! Fixter looks good. I sent him a picture of it :D

chumbucket 12-09-2003 01:15 AM

I think the Whopper Stopper Salty Boogies are no longer being manufactured, but Bassmaster, myself and I think a few others have made plugs similar/inspired by the Salty Boogie.

That pogie looks deadly for still calm water.. does it cast all right?

Got belt sander?

justplugit 12-09-2003 11:32 AM

Hey CHRISTIAN---I had a thought for a box that would show alot of plugs by making it long, narrrow, and shallow.
maybe 4in wide by 3in deep, and as long as you want.If you cut out the sides like a gun rack you can lay the plugs horizontal and still be able to take them off to look at them.
I would say u could hold 6 plugs for every foot so u cold get 30 or so plugs in a 3 ft box.
Just a thought ,hope it's helpful. :)

justplugit 12-09-2003 11:38 AM

UT OH,I need to go back to third grade math! A 3ft box would hold 18 plugs not 30! :o :o

TheRattBoy 12-09-2003 06:41 PM

Stretch that Booger out and it would look like a Gag's Slammer.johnny "the Ratt Boy"

christian, here is one way i have some plugs displayed. i take an old beat up oar and put large staples into it to hang the plugs on. the old oars really look neat!

they are all organized by type and color. i took a large section of peg board and ran fishing line through every other hole. i then put the tail hook into the loop formed by the line. it took very little time and the end result is pretty good in my opinion.

Canalratt1 12-10-2003 04:16 PM

Very nice as long as you don't have an earthquake!:D
