Need help

I'm new to plug building, and looking for as much help as possible. My first question is , what is the easiest way to make the tail wrap of the through wire?

I usually bend it around a small philips head screw driver to make the loop. Then I put the loop in a vise and use a pair of pliers to make the turns. After a couple of turns, I clip the wire and "smush" it in with a pair of pliers. It took a bunch of tries before I worked out all the kinks.

I do the exact same thing as saltyric. Seems to work well and I have been making plugs for 4 years. Never had a wire come undone. I use .063 soft stainless wire.
