New Plug Junkie
1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,
Newbie alert. WeeOooWeeOooWeeOoo. Just got started a little while ago turning my own Plugs thought some of you would like to see my first six. They have YET to be swam. Jigman has been giving me some of his help online and I think I'm on the right track. The Danny style plugs (I call Chubsters) are right around 4.25" and 1 3/4oz. Needles are 8" and closer to 2 1/4oz. |

Still turning the slugs till I can swim the Chubsters. Lookin like this still. Thats a NJTackle lefty up front. The Pikie lips are ordered. I just tried it on for size. Thanks for the kind words guys. I've been lurking around getting a feel for the quality expected. It's going to be a long road!
Some of the stuff I've seen here:claps: |
Nice really Nice! GOTTA LOVE THAT RED
"CHUBSTER" :) |
that red is nice but my favorite will alwayse be blue with white belly and red mouth. Yum Yum fish love em. I caught many nice fish on that combo.

Well the Chubster swam but rolled heavy in a current. I was counting on slack water at the canal but instead caught the last of the ebb. Leaves a major wake, nose slightly down and its chubby little arse waving. It rolled so much I saw the left eye then the right straight up as it wagged. Wondering how bad of a thing this is? I should try to minimize but I'm guessing its the shape of the body that does it. I was pressed for time so I did not try bending the eye or lip any. I'll try again later.
The needle I obviously weighted too much in the tail. It sinks slowly tail first. I need to relieve some back there and drop a small slug up front. This is gonna be fun, looking forward to tuning! |
