korkers boot...has anyone tried these?

I have always wrestled with the older style and the laced ones have actually done damage to the waders lug sole boot . This may be a better solution. Has anyone tried these? If so how do you like them

i haven't tried them, but i like the idea of being able to just replace the sole. i throw away the junk stock studs from the beginning and replace them with 1.25" SS bolts. with the replaceable sole, i could have a spair set on hand at all times. i may have to look into those!

Hmmmm - might need to contact Korkers for a test drive :)

Not so fast! I did some research into these before christmas while I was making my chrstmas wish list and I stumbled on something that sent me to a screeching halt. There are no studs anywhere near your toes. So when your climbing up the rocks at C-town breachway wearing those things your not going to have much traction. They also weigh 2 lbs a boot.
Plusses are you can chose between studded felt or rubber, or plain felt depending on where your fishing.

For what its worth, I ordered a pair of LL Bean ultra light wading boots with studded aquastealth soles.. My theory was that when they start to wear out I can just mail 'em back for new ones.
