Copper Question

I don't get in much trouble or pulled over by the police for moving violations so I haven't had the opportunity to ask this question in person, but why is it when someone gets pulled over they park the police cruiser behind the perp on an angle with the front sticking out into traffic? Why do they do that?
(And before you ask, yes I have a lot of spare time on my hands today).

Being that I just got nailed yesterday (warning only, phew) I think they do that to make cars go father around so the cop doesnt get clipped standing at the "perp's" car... thats my $0.02

Geez - The ONE chance I get to maybe have a shot at giving a somewhat intelligent and helpful answer and youre asking about the police, not THE METAL.

I agree with Bryan though - for safety.

BTW - Copper closed at 103.95 on the spot Comex today -whew! (and check out nickel)

:D

You'd be surprised at the number of police cruisers that get demolished while on the side of the road with the strobes flashing! I bet I see a dozen per year. It's almost like it hyptonizes some folks. Parking at an angle keeps the officer from getting clipped by passing traffic and helps him not to get jammed by his own car!

Here in NY they pull up flush---but that could be due to the fact that they know that every passing car will slow to 20 mph just to see what's up on the side of the road. :rollem:

I live in the freakin' rubbernecking capital of the world.

Steve - It's crazy, luckily I don't use any precious metals but Copper, Nickel and even Tin have been ridiculous - and even at these prices, you have to work just to get it.
I,ve been a bad hedger waiting for these little spikes to clear to put them on - but they ain't clearing, and I'm getting short:(
