Spacing from real seat

Can anyone tell me what the spaceing should be from the reel seat to the first guide should be, Oh yeah on a 12 foot surf blank.
Spinning guides not conventional.

About 40 inches. I depends on the reel , guide sizes and blank but on a 12 foorter , with the right guide , it would be about 40 inches
