Moose Nuckle 01-14-2004 01:40 PM

Islands this year!!

tlapinski 01-14-2004 01:49 PM

i had to vote islands, but i am gonna do my best to make it Rhody! too bad no documented 70's have come from RI.

Mike P 01-14-2004 01:50 PM

None of the above ;)

It's coming over the next few weeks off the Virginia Capes.

Krispy 01-14-2004 02:18 PM

I agree with Toby, Islands from all the reports of consistent large, year after year. T., you can stand next to me when I catch my 70 ;)

The Dad Fisherman 01-14-2004 02:23 PM

well I'll be fishing the Gloucester and Marblehead Areas so.............:D :D :D

Moose Nuckle 01-14-2004 02:26 PM

I think all the info says it should happen around the islands. Don't get me wrong I would love to see a 70 pound fish cought in Boston Harbah.

theSURF121 01-14-2004 02:45 PM

Out of the listed choices, and to be more specific and biased, Squibby-MV. There are a few other locations omitted that have as good a shot as any such as Plum Gut and Montauk .

Slipknot 01-14-2004 03:05 PM

From my hook

Skitterpop 01-14-2004 03:06 PM

Boat caught RI

With Iron Mike`s 6o#er and the other two over 60 caught by young men off boats...why not RI.... or Block Island?

scarecrow 01-14-2004 03:22 PM

Im gonna

Get one in MAINE.

Codfather 01-14-2004 03:38 PM

I'll catch one in Scituate:D

The South Shore is not dead:laughs:

chris L 01-14-2004 03:43 PM

DaveS 01-14-2004 05:09 PM

fishweewee 01-14-2004 05:11 PM

Outta Bassmasters' Butt. :hihi:

RIROCKHOUND 01-14-2004 05:14 PM

Thats a big Bass Plug if it's coming out of there...
Who am I to talk... I had chilli for lunch... can you say Dutch Oven tonight for the lil lady :D

Canalratt1 01-14-2004 05:26 PM

Well it will not come from the Ditch! Most likely the outer beaches or the Islands and probably not from the surf.

Crafty Angler 01-14-2004 05:30 PM

There's probably a good chance it'll come from the back of Iron Mike's Jeep.

It'll be too big for the cooler mounted up front.

goosefish 01-14-2004 06:02 PM

On the southwest corner of Nomans Land

Bawana 01-14-2004 06:14 PM

Off the coast of LALA -land from the deck of the good ship lollypop only to be lost while going to gaff but sworn to by Capt Morgan and First mate Pinochio You got the same chances as winning the lottery or getting hit by an asteriod maybe better chance at winning lottery but everybodys gotta have a dream

tlapinski 01-14-2004 06:57 PM

what about the Hudson or Chesapeak tributaries? nothing like fishing in the spawn. :af:

blackeye 01-14-2004 08:17 PM

the back of my jeep

mikecc 01-14-2004 08:18 PM

Block Island

JohnR 01-14-2004 08:31 PM

Out of the places listed here - it would come on a line from Cutty/Squibby to Block to Montauk and the Forks. Where will the next record come from? Possibly off NC or VA and don't forget some of those sweetwater stripers have also pushed over 60 pounds where their only predator is man

fishin 01-14-2004 08:37 PM

IRON MIKE USING ONE OF HABS PLUGS IN LATE JUNE 04 OR EARLY SEPTEMBER.

Mr. Sandman 01-14-2004 08:42 PM

my live well

GBOUTDOORS 01-14-2004 09:31 PM

It will be on my boat if the fish gods answer my prayers and hard work cought with a niner rig so it wont count but who cares so long as I get to reel her in. I will be able to see Cuttyhunk but I will not be near her shores. Anyone want to join me????????

Slipknot 01-14-2004 09:48 PM

:wavey: just say the word bro :D

GB, how about those rigs Charlie was showing that he makes? :) those look a little smaller and give the fish a chance to fight a little more.

Mr.Sandman must have a very LARGE live well.

MakoMike 01-15-2004 08:45 AM

Somewhere between the island and the eastern tip of LI. If not there the NC/VA area.

Duke41 01-15-2004 08:51 AM

I said it here first. I have found a spot around Block Island that produced big fish during a certain summer event for the last 2 years. One time I saw a huge white bass breach it had a small harpon stuck into it side and was pulling 2 barrels. I swore it looked at me and smirked before it charged the boat. I took off for Point Judith. Live to fish another day.
