spine question
 

i wraped cork tape on batson 1087 last nite, forgot to mark the spine. can i get a true reading with the cork tape on? or can i roll up the butt end of the cork tape just enough to get proper roll on the floor. i did find the spine by testing with the tape on but wanted to check with you guys first. have not done anything else to the blank cork tape is all i have on.

the CT will not change the spine.
