Mid Bay(RI) Report

Went fishing Saturday from 9am until 3pm. (9-10:30am)Ohio Ledge...one Sea Robin....there were many boats fishing this area....I didn't see anyone catch anything. Moved down to the Jamestown bridge(11-1:30pm). Many fish according to my fish finder....using whole squid on the bottom.....caught one fluke 19"....another boat drifting with us using herring caught what I would guess was a 36-39" striper. He said he caught about 8 fish between 29-39". When he ran out of herring he started using whole squid also. Once he made the change he did not catch another fish. I wish Ray's Bait had some damn herring!!!!

Trolled back thru East Greenwich Bay and picked up one lonely blue about 4 lbs. No birds working the water all day.

It was nice to be out on the water but dissapointed with the results.

Does anyone know of Bait shops in the Warwick area?

There is Casey's B&T on West Shore Road. They just moved about 1/2 mile more towards Warwick Neck from Conimicut. There is Ericson Brothers on Rte 5 near the intersections of routes 1,117, & 5 (near Apponaug Center) - those are the two around there...
