Sorry to hear this. I've been to his shop many times and he was a friendly and helpful guy.

fishweewee 01-27-2004 09:11 AM

Oh Jeez. :( How does one accidentally shoot a human being twice in the head?

Duke41 01-27-2004 09:23 AM

killed or murdered?

Roger 01-27-2004 09:54 AM

My condolences.

Nut bag ex-cop, psych eval that says he should not be entrusted with a gun or badge, prone to violent behavior, two shots in an area the size of a small pie pan. It sounds like murder. I hope they arrest the guy, though it may be a tough case to prove.

I'd like to know the distance of the shots and if the victim was wearing orange, especially an orange hat.

mikecc 01-27-2004 10:11 AM

Roger
distance was 150yds and no orange just camo from what guys from the hunting party told me.

fishweewee 01-27-2004 01:33 PM

"Always positively identify your target before shooting at it."

Pretty basic principle to me.

Bazza 01-27-2004 08:10 PM

Sorry to hear of your loss mike. I could see once being an accident but shot twice. Especially at 150 yards through the trees sounds fishy to me.

maddog2020 02-02-2004 09:07 AM

Sorry for your loss, Mike. :(

I called a buddy of mine in TX last Tuesday on the way home only to get a call from his wife to tell me he had passed away the Wednesday before. :( He has liver/lung cancer so we knew he wouldn't see Christmas 04.

Losing a friend is never easy.
