Flash Drive

You guys ever used one? I just got one and this thing is a life saver! I'm not techno follower so I just heard about this thing. Prob been out a long time.

Here's how it helped me;

Old crappitty computer wont work well, limps along.

Need to get files off it onto new, fast, sleek, good looking crappy DOS machine.

Solution;

Buy a Flash drive- plug into USB port of old comp & copy files to it. Remove and plug into new comp USB port & copy files to harddrive.
Done!
No laplink. Nothing. Couple of minutes and files saved.
This thing is amazing.
Me so happy:happy:

Definently agree!!!

Thumb drives are the best thing since penut butter. Especially now since you can pick them up at a decent price, (256mb for around $40). Just plug into the USB drive and ME, XP, or 2000 treats it just like another hard drive. If using 98 you might need to down load a driver from the web. Great for moving files but not as permanent as CD-Rs for backups. But you cant beat the convience.

If you haven't seen them, they are about the same size of a disposable lighter. All the I.T. geeks at work have them, usually with 1gig.

I have a 512 here. These things are great, I use it all the time for driver downloads, data transfer, etc. Beats burning a cd...
