maintenance on 6500 mag
 

I was wondering what kind of a maintenance schedule everyone follows on their 6500 mags (or any conventionals for that matter). I fish, or at least hope to fish every weekend. I always rinse my reels with fresh water as soon as I'm home, but other than that, what does everyone do and how often?

Depends on your fishing and how often the reel takes a dunk... I tend to relube externally every few outings, more if fished hard. I also like to disassemble and clean about once a month of so... Again, depends on how hard you fish. The low utilization person can get by with the once a year but I think more often if you fish hard....
