Pre-Fabricated Workbenches?
Got kicked out of the kitchen.
Need sturdy work bench. Preferably wood or particlboard/corian. Can't have static. Anyone know if say, Home Depot makes 'em or some other place? Need a sturdy work bench to park some specialized tools (say, 22 x 54 inches), a shelf would be nice too. Top needs to be beefy - enough to hold a 10 lb. cast iron gizmo thingy bolted to it. Don't have time to make my own... Thanks... -WW |
get some frakin wood and Ill help you build a decent bench . or maybe the wood talented slipknot could help . I need 3 too for my new basement .

so what did you find ? and where ?
|
Chris, so a search for "work benches" at Sears.com (under tools heading).
Yowsa, some of this stuff is expensive! Found something cheaper at Lowes.com - (under $100). Might take a trip to Orange. -B |
r u afraid ya power is going to blow up:hihi:
|
FWW,
Don't remember prices, but search through Rockler.com. I use the site for specialty tools from time to time. |

Static?
NO static, No static, No Static at ALLLLL..... FMmmmm, No static at all... ;)
BOOM  :laughs: I've been inhaling paint, dust, and bleach fumes all week, thinks it's taking it's toll  |
I have too many weird hobbies :wall:
|
weewee if you are that worried connect a wire fron the bench to a ground rod..............or water pipe
|
Yeah, planning on doing that, Ed.
|
Ben, what are ya mixing; charcoal, sulphur and sodium nitrate:D
|
sounds like someone is reloading.:rocketem:
|
static
you can generate a static charge just from running your hand through your hair... so the rule of thumb is to always keep one hand grounded when possible.....if not in use. perhaps wee wee is making those special bluefish treats that have fuses :laughs:
