OTW fishing show

I stopped at the OTW booth at the Worcester outdoor show this weekend. OTW is piloting a New England fishing tv show. The guy I spoke to said they are shopping it around to NECN and a few other networks.
I think thats great news, I hope it catches on.

Saw this news earlier today also at the above website, read below.......

The Four Seasons of Fishing Cape Cod by Captain Roger Swiderski

Captain Roger Swiderski of Jolly Roger Charters has been fly fishing for 35 years and at least half that time in salt water. His original work THE FOUR SEASONS OF FISHING CAPE COD covers the type of fishing he specializes in. This covers fishing around Buzzards Bay, Cape Cod Bay and Vineyard Sound.
The first season beginning around the first of May, covers the worm hatch and herring fishing. The 2nd season begins in June and is Flats fishing primarily in Barnstable Harbor. Third, he discusses FUNNY FISHING which is his term for Atlantic Speedsters like bonito, false albacore and Spanish mackerel. Forth is the Last Blast which is the end of the season and discusses the fall migration.
Captain Roger fishes about 160 days during that period and guides 60-70 days. He specializes in teaching fly casting, tying and the intricacies of catching stripers, blues Atlantic speedsters and bluefin tuna. He has 2 boats, a 20' Hewes flats boat and a 27' Ocean Master along with kayaks, float tubes, a driftboat, Water Otters and various other crafts he uses in his retreats which he offers throughout the 4 seasons. His home is on a salt pond which is the areas he fishes during the worm hatch and various other times throughout the year.

He will be featured on NESN next season along with On The Water magazine's TV debut- Fishing New England.

I'm either real stupid or real confused. RIJImmy reports that OTW is still "shopping" their show around to networks. Moses reports that the OTW show is going to be on NESN. Only one of these reports can be accurate.

I Think Its Both....

I have at times found you to be real stupid and other times.....real confused!:tm:

RIJIMMY 02-10-2004 09:23 AM

BP, thats what the guy at the booth told me, maybe he was clueless:confused:

RIJimmy,

I have no idea, I just see and have heard more rumors about that show...There is another Show that was done in all MA waters sponsored by some Blue fin Dealer. I know some captains filmed on that show and I have not seen hide nor hair of the Show.

13 episodes are in the can. 3 segments per episode. Filming for next season starts this spring. Can't say what network bought it yet. That is all.

OTW Fishing Show

That sounds great. If it is setup as well as the mag is setup, that is geared towards New England fishermen/women, it would be the greatest tv show since channel 5 bowling with Don Gillis.

Mr. Sandman 02-11-2004 01:19 PM

The fellow in the booth told me:
"check out our new TV OTW pilot...
really! I said, what network will it be on?
he replyed...we are still shopping it around....
I did hear him say they shown it to NESN

if the show is half as good as the mag it will be 100X better then half the junk out there.

When I was at the show on Friday I heard a guy speaking in the next room about being the voice over host. He said it would be his 3rd show. I think his name was Charlie something. He mentioned nesn and espn but I did not hear most of that part of the conversation. Jackie O
