Jointed Pikie question
What's the best way to wire a jointed Pikie so the space between pieces is not so loose? I am using 304 wire.
Thanks! :) |
take the front of the back half an drill a hole large enough for the wire loop to fit IN. this will close the gap between the two halve's
|
CAPESAMS-- is it a good idea to insert a tail grommet in the oversize hole before wireing for extra strength?
THANKS,as usual! |

Ummm
The drill I used to enlarge the front of the tail section was the same as the one I used to drill the belly hook hole. I drilled it about 3/4" deep and put a belly grommet in there
Here's a tip I learned. Pinch the loops so they are NOT so round but more like the eye of a needle, kind of oval, this way the rear won't roll / twist so much. You need to make the enlarged hole just deep enough so the end of the first loop is about even with the front end of the rear half. In other word you look at the plug from the side and you should see the heads tail loop only. Any closer and it won't swivel without binding. Good luck, |
