Garden Sprayer?
I was thinking of a way to give my reels a quick rinse as well as a way to get some sand off my waders. I've been led to the idea od some sort of garden sprayer which I could keep in the truck.
I checked some websites including Home Depot and there is such a dizzying array of sizes and types. I'm a bit confused as to which is best or if there are different pressures also. Thank you for shedding some light! |
My buddy uses one of those shower in a bag things. They look like they hold @ 3 gallons. You rest the bag on top of your car during the day and you have a hot shower. I think you could get them at any camping store, but they work awesome.

Great Idea
Never thought about that but I remember those. Thanks.

If you go with the Home Depot route, don't spend too much money.
You can get a good 2-3 quart one for like 20-30 bucks. We used to use them at my old job for spraying hot butter and sherry on to crab pies and scallops. They are surprisingly durable! Later, Rick |
Does the water stream vary? Meaning are some more powerful than others? thanks!

Do like me Throw all crap in large cooler on front rack and when you get home clean them!! Matbe thats cause I never have fish to put in the cooler :fishslap:

I just use a cheapo Wal-Mart 5 gallon beverage dispenser/cooler (I think it's a big gatorade jug). Just fill it up halfway with tap water...great to have on hand if you need to wash your hands or drinking water too. They leak a bit when jostled around, you can get around that by placing it in a larger rubber tote.

I got a Tru-Temper garden sprayer, it's excellent - holds a couple or three gallons, I guess. It's leak proof, works real well and you keep pumping the handle to get higher pressure.
Ya gotta be careful though - it's high-pressure and you don't wanna wash sand and salt into your reels etc instead of off of them. |
The solar showers come in three sizes.
2.5 gal.- $18.89 5 gal.- $23.89 6 gal.- $28.89 Let me know if interested, all three are in stock. |
