The Diving Fisherman VS. The Mad Fisherman

Celebrity Death Match

How about Mike Laptew aka The Diving Fisherman beats Charlie Moore aka The Mad Fisherman?

The challenge has already been made; a day of striper fishing followed by a tautog shoot out underwater! Let's see if this old dog can take on the young pup. What do you think?

I already spoke to Charlie briefly and I'll be seeing him again at the Suffern show this weekend. If enough of you people want to see this match up, it will only help make it happen.

So do I show him how to catch linesiders then take him down to Davie Jones' Locker and wait for the thumbs up or down from the crowd? :laughs: :D

Do I have a chance at beating the bad boy from Beantown?

Should I start playing the theme from Rocky and go into training?

Mike

Charlie's mouth will be open the whole time and he'll drown of his own accord. Piece of cake.:D

Saltheart 03-02-2004 09:37 AM

Go get em Mike! Start eating hamburgers and drinking beer. If you fatten up about 40 pounds he might be competitive! :)

marky1 03-02-2004 09:55 AM

That will be a blessing..Charlie with his big mouth shut... not making any noise !! He will not be able to shoot his mouth off underwater!

The Dad Fisherman 03-02-2004 10:00 AM

I'm kinda of envisioning him looking like a Baleen Whale w/ his mouth Wide open coming to the surface w/ a mouthful of Plankton. :D

Mr. Sandman 03-02-2004 10:17 AM

:laughs:

Play the "JAWS" theme...

Notaro 03-02-2004 11:56 AM

Make sure you include the captions...;)

Slipknot 03-02-2004 12:19 PM

YAAAAA bring it on:laughs: :D :)

Be nice to see some real entertainment on that show:happy:

Be sure to tell him all his fans at SB said hello now when ya see him:D

Fish_Eye 03-02-2004 12:38 PM

I'll be sure and show this thread to Mr. Moore.

Let's see if "Blue Dolphin" gives him this assignment or if "Jellyfish" says, "Let's squirm out of this one."

I think he'll go for it!

Let's assure him (and ESPN2) that there's an audience for this kind of entertainment.

Any other ideas brewing out there?

Mike

DAY of striper fishing??? c'mon! lets make it a NIGHT of striper fishing (which is more common, no???) and see how well his fishing instincts are in the dark;) and reemember no lights! night vision cameras only please!;)

FishermanTim 03-02-2004 01:34 PM

Keep it in the daytime, so that he'll have to work even harder and he won't get any ideas of trying to hit alot of the "local hotspots"
Imagine if he were to go to anyone of your favorite spots, get a good fish, and flap his gums to the general populace?

ragfly 03-02-2004 01:35 PM

Make sure you bring your ear plugs. If it happens let us know when it will be on, becuase I refuse to watch the mad idiot otherwise. :smash:

redlite 03-02-2004 01:55 PM

Steve K 03-02-2004 02:04 PM
