Flourocarbon line
 

Has anybody used as the main line on their reels?Its was recommended that I use it for leaders when I had asked about using leaders with plugs,mainly for low vis and abrasion resistance.
Would it be worth the time(and money)to use it as the main line?

I know as far as Seaguar is concerned you can only get it in 100 yard spools max.

I think it would be to heavy for your main line , I use a spool with some 20 lb mono then top with power pro 50 lb then a floro- leader later link:cool:

I use 6 lb stren fluoro for my winter holdover fishing, as it give you less stretch then mono and a faster sink rate for the lighter jigs, which I find key for winter fishing. Come the fresh fish season, I'm back into braid and fluoro leaders only.

basswipe, when looking at flouro make sure you notice that there is flourocarbon line and flourocarbon leader material. There actually is a DIFFERENCE between the two. The main line material is more supple while the leader material is stiffer and more abrasion resistant.
