Birds at Eel Pond

Sunday and Monday evening something was washing out of Eel Pond in Mattapoisett and the gulls and mergansers were stuffing themselves. From a distance it looked like 3-4" worms real fat ones but right at the creek you couldn't see anything. Early worm hatch?

There are over 350 different worms that hatch in New england Salt Waters. Different species hatch at different times of the year.

I noticed the gulls along my beach picking out 4 inch worms day before yesterday too. I also always see gulls on the left side of the jamestown bridge , going torwards newport working on something. Also always notice a boat ancored between the two bridges, anyone know what their fishing for now?
