With the start of fishing season just around the snowy corner :)....I have a question for the board.

Who thinks we should give BigFish, striprman and missing Link jr., their very OWN forum?
One that they could constantly post to each other on. Have their fun without "hi-jacking" post after post after post. I mean, a little fun now and then is just that, "a little fun" ...but when it goes on and on within just about 80% of the threads on the main page.....it gets kind of.......old, boring and then .......a bit annoying. I don't think John created this site to be Striper-Comic-Relief. I know I'm guilty now and then of a good thread hi-jack, I try to keep the content of my reply geared toward the post...but like I said,...a little fun now and then doesn't really bother that many people. Seeing as how Bigfish is an "experienced" angler always willing to help, he could lead striprman in the right direction with his questioning and missingLink could join in on the fun. I have this gut feeling I'm not alone on this....


If you think this is a good idea..... please share it on this thread, NO NEED TO START ANOTHER THREAD.

You know, you guys are quick to jump on those who you believe to be the problem here! Well the problem lies within. In my opinion, and I have never been one to take the long way around the barn so here goes, the people here guilty of hi-jacking more threads and causing more disruption to the flow of the forums is Fishweewee (we will call him #1) and Bassmaster (we will call him #2) and I have no problem with them personally, I think they are great guys and I do enjoy their humor. However, none of you have the brass to approach them in the same way you approach me, or ML Jr. The whole reason you see me going ballistic is because of the "mysterious" Striprman" or the elusive "Interplanetary Angler"!!! So, you want to solve the problem???? Cut it off at the source, and I am not the source. If you believe I am then you can just blow it out your A$$. Besides, with WeeWee and BM it's genetical incestous love. If P-town were in West Virginia they could get married as brother and brother in May. Besides, they're much better than they used to be but they also do most of it in the Scuppers and GOPs

Here is my take.

THE NUMBER ONE REASON PEOPLE ARE AT EACH OTHERS' THROATS IS CABIN FEVER

Simple as that. Yes thread hijacks happen, yes numerous posts happen but WE should keep the main board more fishing stuff and move the rest to the scuppers and elsewhere.

The boards just aren't as much fun when people are beyotching and bickering at each other. But you want to know something funny, it will be a helluva lot better in 6 weeks once everyone has had some schoolies and even keepers pulling the other way. It's the same every year.

Want to know something else? EVERYBODY - Don't take it so freaking seriously - it's a computer! It's FISHING. Our friends, relatives, and neighbors are in stone age places in Afghanistan and Iraq. They haven't seen there kids in a year. They got pople shooting at them. And we have friends and family in poor health and need. We have the responsibilty of raising our kids right and taking care of our families. That's the important stuff. This is where you get away from that and have "fun" talking about our shared passion FISHING.

As I started to read this thread the thoughts started rolling around inside my empty head and suddenly my thoughts were staring me in the face. One outburst should be enough. Calm down and act your age. There are places on this board for junk threads and gutter talk. They don't belong here, even in answer to the question this thread has posed.
I hope those persons who are under discussion here, and you know who you are, will just cool it. Go to one of the other forums and blow off your steam or humor or what ever it is you are seeking.
Go down to the canal and cast a sinker for a few hours, work off that pent up energy. But please don't come screaming eagles, talons outstretched because non of that is too much on this board that is occupied by young, old and many in between.
Just my open thoughts.
