Muscungus Bay, ME

I am heading up to maine, wehre i will be staying on a house my family has on louds island, which is right outside Round Pond, ME. It is in Muscungus bay, and supposvely there are stripers to be found there. All i know is that there are millions of mackeral to be found, and are easily caught, so i figuered that stripers could be found underneath these huge schools of mackeral. IF anyone knwos of any areas I could try to fish while i am up there, that woudl be great.....thanks......andrew

How big are the mackeral? Are they those tinker mackeral that aren't too big? If they are, I would stick to them. Look for schools darting back and forth. That means something has spooked them. I can't really help you out but I think if there are going to be any bass, they will be by the schools of mackeral. You might want to try catching a mackeral and throwing it back out with a live bait hook stuck in his nose.
