schweet pencils:D

my only piece of criticism is that the eyes are too far forward and will be out of the water when your fishing them...

i think they look cute that way  :D

eyes on pencils

I've been fishing pencils for 25 years, and if I fish a pencil right, the eyes are hardly ever in the water. When I put eyes on them, it is to catch other fishermen as they see the rod on top of the car. Fishermen can spot a plug at 100 yards, and the placement of the eyes does not effect their approaching you to talk about your gear. Any place is the correct place.

Nice Pencils by the way!

Nice colors :) how long are they and what do they weigh?

Hi Fred, nice to see you around again, haven't seen too much of you lately. Won't be much longer now, just a few more weeks. I made a ton of those widget dannys for swaps, now I need some for myself.

6" and weigh 1 oz.

Perfect size! I did significant damage with yelo, Flo Orange and pearl pencils that size last spring when the squid first showed. Florescent Orange my favorite color anytime.

Slip. I have been distracted with other changes in my life (read unemployed) and hadn't been visiting the board. Things have settled down now and I will be out playing shortly. Those little Dannys were also the ticket last spring during the early squid and herring runs. The Dannys were also very productive in the fall with great blasts almost anywhere there was a rocky shoreline.
