Jamestown Public Access
 

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I know from reading this board that some of you guys/gals like to fish around Jamestown. There is going to be a public workshop for the Jamestown town council at the town library in Jamestown on April 29th at 7 pm. The workshop is to address once again public access and banning overnight parking at certain public areas on the island. Some of these areas are known fishing spots. It seems to be more of same old issue of the neuvo riche moving in and claiming the shores as their own. They don't want people walking along the shore of their million dollar homes, so they contact there friends that hold seats in the town and get them to limit access to places that are public and that public monies have paid for. So consider attending and putting up a stance to keep the access. If this gets past, then other communities may try and follow suite.
