refinishing question
 

I have some of the gibbs 3 + oz canal special pencil poppers that got killed last fall the finish is torn up pretty bad. I have sanded the original finish off down to the wood. I would like to repaint these in a new color. Do I need to reseal them, prime them, what type of paint should be used and clear coat when finished. This is my first attempt at refinishing a plug. Any help would be appreciated.

There are alot of guys here that will help you,but you can also do a search on refinishing.Imho if they are banged up from catchin fish,don't fix what ain't broke. Yu can go to NJ Tackle and order some new blanks to start foolin with to start what will be your next addiction:D
