College Grumpage from a different view...

A take off of the previous thread by title only...
For the next 3 weeks ole' RIROCK will be holed up, cramming my thick skull with various facts and figures as I prepare for my written comprehensive exam I need to grad-i-ate in May with my Masters.... what a pain, as I took and aced the courses I'm to be tested on, I now have to remember all of it 2 years later... PIA big time.. and a bit stressful, but at least there will be no Large around until after the test... btw this is on top of my normal course work and research... aint academia grand? :af:
oh well such is life... see's ya all in a few weeks...

Good luck dude - looking forward to our own resident biologist :)

Maybe we'll even throw you a bassin' party on the rocks (but no booze) :D

Good Luck, and may your hard work pay off!
I am sure it will.

My Grumpage, from the other end, just got a whole lot better... I'd love to use a smilie, even a dancing puffy guy but, this IS the Grump Phorum!

Umm... close but no cigar John..
Geology here not Biology.. :smash:
I do mostly underwater habitat mapping, Sidescan Sonar etc... i.e. where's the sand, mud, rock, how much is there, how did it get there... etc etc...
I also do some research on the south shore, mostly short term response to storms, I am the lead field researcher of a 27+yr study of the beach down in C-Town... keeps me out on the beach weekly...
I also do some glacial geology... mostly putting the underwater stuff in a glacial context...

But I'm happy to be the resident geologist if it helps...
