Recycling storm shads...
1 Attachment(s)
Dont know if anyone is doing this? I had a bunch of shad bodies that had been attacked by Clammers buddies.
I saved the remains of the carnage for the lead now I found the hook has a new use on none other than Ledge Runners! Something to think about B4 tossing the shads in the trash |
God I love bluefish!!:D :D

Good to know, from now on I will scrap what I can from mine before ch#^^^^^&' them.;)
|
Grindum up for chum:smash:

Though I don't have a picture handy, I put a 6" sluggo on one with one of those rubber holder screw type thingies and it works kinda nice. Have not tried it in the ocean yet but it stands up off the bottom and makes a nice little drag/skip action. Waiting to try it on the beach

good idea - thanks ;)

Somehow I bet someone has done that already :D

Put a pork rind/squid/spearing on the damaged ones for fluke.
Bounce it just like a bucktail. ;) |
That one bottom center looks like it took a good hit :laughs:

You can also save them for the fall run. When the fish are feeding theyll hit anything. I caught some nice 18lb fish on no more then a 2 inch piece of head.

I cut off the body behind the head and glue on another shad body. My neighbor landed his fish of a lifetime on one that I had glued a chartreuse body to.
Seems worthwhile when some little rat blue has nipped off the tail. |
Good Idea Roop.
Send me the lead......:) |
:laughs:
