John?? Pic Problem?

John,

I'm not able to see any pictures lately. I just get the red "X" boxes. I've added the site to my firewall trusted sites area but still a no go. Any suggestions?

Bassman18 04-18-2004 06:18 PM

Bob did you add the ip address http://69.93.108.13 besides striped-bass.com ?

Bob Thomas 04-18-2004 10:23 PM

Salty,

I tried with that address and it won't allow me to enter it. (Norton internet security '04) I entered just the numbers and it went in fine and then entered the www.striped-bass.com address and it entered. Still no go. Tried with another computer and still getting the red "x" deal. I wanna see your shop. Trying to get an idea where you're at so I can HO ya!! ;) ;)

Ahh but grasshopper you can't find it :D

One hint...4 miles in a straight line from 495 :D

Bob - dunno what the problem is. Attached photos work fine and I can see the pics that Bugger linked in. Those pics are actually on his server and are not related to this site so a problem here should not prevent you from viewing them. You can copy this link into a browser to test viewing directly (remove the "--")

John,

I can see ya boat but still no go on saltys thread. I added his site as a trusted site and nothing happened.

When I copy/pasted that "#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&" link, I received this message:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /images/shop6.jpg on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Bob Thomas 04-19-2004 01:47 PM

Actually, I can't see ANY of Saltubugger.com pictures, nothing in the main page, no plugs etc. Turned off the firewall and still no go

Bob Thomas 04-19-2004 02:12 PM

I just tried accessing Saltys page with Mozilla instead of IE and still a no go. Everytime I try to see a pic, I get the "Forbidden" message.

UserRemoved1 04-19-2004 03:20 PM

AHHHHHH I have hotlinking protection turned on,but you still should be able to see them on the sb website as I added sb to the allowed list. You can't directly type a picture link in anymore. I had too many guys stealing bandwidth that I didn't know about.
Still doesn't make sense why u cannot see them here when others can though.

Bob,
It's probably Norton internet Security '04. I just upgraded from '02 and now I cannot see the Subjects of threads.

I managed to get it working but i don't remember off the top of my head.
I think you may have to allow popups on this site....

But it is a setting in Norton...

Bob Thomas 04-20-2004 05:08 PM

BassNut,

Just started working. Salty changed a setting on his site that musta been preventing me from seeing them. I can see the rest of the site pics just not his.

I just don't think Salty likes me

That could be it too....

Well glad to hear its working.
Keep an eye on Norton, if you have further probs, blame Norton!!!
or Salty!

There have been a few issues when running Norton 04, latest McAffee and XP with auto updates. Seems MS has figured their systems will be more secure if you can't access anything :rollem:
