Race Point?
 

I have fished P-town from a boat a few times, but never from the surf. Can you park near the beach and then walk out there, or is it just too far? Are you allowed to just walk on the beach or do you need to pay or get a permit?I don't have a vehicle capable of making it out there( nor do I have a permit ) so if I go...its by foot. Going to try and make the trip this year but not sure what to expect. Thanks

Herring Cove
 

Go to the visitor's center on Race Point Road and get a pass (free) that will allow you to park in Herring Cove parking lot at night.

Walk the beaches after dark and plug away! I've caught some nice fish that way.
