Cape area reports!!!

There are fish around the south side of the cape in some of the usual haunts, not many but they are around, today was tough, yesterday was good. Still need more bait to move in the next week to make it a consistant thing but We have been puttin in the time and connecting here and there, water temp is still pretty cold in most places. There was a fish weighed in day before yesterday that was caught in the North river that was 40 inches and I think around 19 lbs. The runs are loading up as well and there were herring in the canal run today and at the top of the hill!!!

All I can say is it's great to be on the water again!!!

Whooppeee-doo, a'iaght, Juls, Excellent job. I can expect the action will be hot when I finish my school on May 10th.

Fisherwoman,
By any chance, did you get a read on the water temps when you were out fishing? Thanks.

Fisherwoman 04-22-2004 09:44 AM

Water temps were between 45 & 50 degrees.

Thanks. Might be worth a weekend investigation...

I will give it another couple weeks before I start puttin in some hours. 44 deg ocean temp...still knida chilly.

It is good to feel the sun and see the herring again!!

Good to hear Sandman, they will be rolling in heavy any day now. Sure would be nice to get a little more south west wind to kick things up a bit.

BRING IT ON!!!!!
